After the Breitling Super Connie was grounded, there is only one flying original Super Constellation left in the world. We have the world's only genuine Super Connie simulator.

To ensure the Super Connie myth lives on, the preservation of our simulator is essential. We continuously maintain our Connie to keep it flight-ready. Alongside individual guests, the simulator is also used for group events and courses. The many flight hours and the increasing age of the built-in components have taken their toll. In parallel, the technological capabilities of simulation technology have significantly advanced in the meantime.

Ideal time

With the announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, simulator technology is taking off into new spheres. In conjunction with a fundamental overhaul and various optimisations, our Super Connie Sim will thus be able to make the golden age of propliners an unparalleled experience in the future, and help to ensure that this important aviation epoch is never forgotten.

You can't get by without a patron.

The Super Constellation Simulator was acquired by enthusiasts of the Runway 34 Sim Academy, knowing that it would not be commercially successful, but rather to preserve a piece of aviation history. Our planned upgrade involves considerable costs, for which we cannot fully provide the necessary funds ourselves. The implementation team works at their own expense, yet costs amounting to CHF 40,000 will be incurred, for which we are seeking patrons. Aware of your close connection to the Super Connie, we take the liberty of contacting you with this request.

Diverging from «GOLD»

• Individual «Captain's Dinner» with Hans Breitenmoser for you and three guests
• The two flight hours on our simulator will have you ready before dinner with Hans Breitenmoser as your instructor.

The next steps and timeline

Once the amount of CHF 40,000 is reached, the donor campaign will end.

Should we not reach the necessary amount, any patron contributions already made will, of course, be refunded in full.

A decision will be made by December 2023 at the latest as to whether the project can be realised. If the decision is positive, preparatory work will begin immediately, allowing the simulator to be converted between mid-February and mid-March 2024.

The ‚maiden flight‘ with the new Super Connie Sim would then be on 18.3.2025. Sponsor dinners can also be planned from this date onwards.
